Emergency Loan Support
We have two lending options available to support current members affected by the storms.
Emergency Personal Loan
Receive a low-rate personal loan with special terms to help with disaster recovery costs.
- Have established UW Credit Union membership prior to 7/27/26
- Up to $5,000
- Fixed rate of 4.23% APR1 for 36 months for all credit tiers
- Applications are subject to standard underwriting guidelines
- No payments, no interest for the first 90 days
- No application fee, monthly service fees or prepayment penalties

Loan Deferment2
Defer monthly loan payments for up to three months on your eligible UW Credit Union personal loans and vehicle loans.
- Does NOT appear as a late payment on your credit report
- The length of your loan term is simply extended
- You choose how many monthly payments to defer, from one to three payments
- No application fee or service fees
- Loan(s) must be at least three months old to defer

Student Loans Disaster Forbearance
Private student loan holders can also request a disaster forbearance from Firstmark, which will suspend payments for three months. Contact Firstmark directly at firstmarkservices.com or 1-888-538-7378 for assistance.
